No Court until Monday

We are saddened to say that we will not have our court date until Monday. It seems once again there is some other document that needs to be signed. This document is just to say the SDA does not have to be present at our hearing.

I can honestly say we are going thru a whirlwind of emotions right now. I have stayed in bed all day due to being sick. James stayed with me due to the Polcia encounter yesterday. We had Natalia to called the orphanage so they could explain to the boys why we would not be there today. We have prayed all day and were expecting to hear that we would be going to court tomorrow. Instead we find out due to one other form that someone did not get signed means we have to wait another 3 days. This means that it adds 3 days to our stay.

I know all of you are praying for us but tonight especially we need your prayers. We will not give the devil a foothold to bring us down but right now we are both needing some TLC. It's one of those times that you just want to climb up in your mommy's lap and have a good cry. We love you all and cherish your prayers and comments.

Hey guys, I am sorry to hear about your delay. It always seems that when we are weighted down with worries and pressures, that's when the devil finds time to visit. Stay strong. Look at this setback as time to build your bonds with your kids. God does everything for a reason (although we may not see the reason shining through to us.)

Best wishes,

Penny - I wish I was there so you could crawl into my lap. I love you so and miss you so. But the end result of all of this is two wonderful children/grandchildren. Three more days are nothing compared to a lifetime. Keep your faith up. If we are fighting a spiritual battle, "WE HAVE ALREADY WON". Get your rest and drink plenty of fluids. Everyone here has you in their prayers. Give James, Luke and Micah my love.

I am so sorry to hear about the delay but rest assured none of this took your heavenly Father by surprise. The reasons for the delay we don't know but He does and He has a divine purpose in all of this. He is your protector, your healer, your defender, your very present help in trouble. Okay I'm beginning to get excited myself. Remember even when we don't feel like it He is there, He is your refuge. I know that both of you know all of this and that it is nothing new to you. But at times when everything seems to overwhelm us, we need to hear it again and again. At least I do. As your Mom said victory is already yours. James please make Penny drink lots of fluids and eat some of the fruit that ya'll have been buying. Sorry, I guess the Mom in me comes out in my typing also, at least you know how I am. The end is in sight because you do have a court date. You are in my prayers.

I have a song to share with you
It's old but it's ringing in my spirit for you today!!!
__
I walked thru a valley
so dark and so low
The sun didn't shine there
but a lily did grow
I cried to my Father
"How can this be?"
He said "Can't you see child,
I AM with thee!"

I AM with thee
I AM with thee
Thru the fire, thru the flood
You are covered by the blood
For I AM with thee

I climbed up a mountain
Till I reached the top
And there sprang a fountain
In a dry barren spot
Again my heart questioned
My eyes couldn't see
He said "Can't you see child,
I AM with thee!"

I AM with thee
I AM with thee
Thru the fire, thru the flood
You are covered by the blood
For I AM with thee

You are never alone - God is so ever close beside you - and we are truly standing with you. Our hearts are bound with yours thru this whole process. You have a FWC family that is holding you up before the Lord!!!

Love you so!!
Kathy

Hey Penny! You probably don't remember me from Southside H.S. 7 -10th grade - but I have been reading your blog over the last several nights. I am a long time friend of Chris Gann and he shared your adoption story with me. I know you are so homesick and ready to bring your boys back to Southside. I looked at the pictures and they are so handsome. Take one day at a time and know that God is right there beside you, holding your hand and guiding you down the path you need to go. I am praying for you and your family. Tina Bryant Sewell

Well Penny, I have been reading your blog and seeing the great pictures but as you know sometimes you just don't take the time to reply. I was sitting here and finished doing WORK and decided to check in to see if you had you court date and sorry to hear that it has been delayed. So many have asked about you and what is happening. Diane Myrick was excited to hear you were getting two little boys. Your fun is just beginning. Well, everything is going ok back in good old BHAM. Many things are happening in the MedAssist world and as you expect, I seem to be always working. On a personal note, I was able to move back into my house on Labor Day. When the movers came and move the my furniture and all 300 boxes back in, I asked them if they could just shoot me. Kim and I worked on unpacking boxes and I still have several boxes that are not unpacked. I do not know where all this stuff was in the house and I have place a lot of things in boxes as I am going to have a large yard sale. You know if you have not use somethings and you can't even remember having it, I guess you don't really need it. The one thing I can say about the house that is nice and clean, new carpet and all rooms painted. I have not hung anything on the walls and have nothing on the windows and don't have any den furniture yet, but I get to sleep in my own bed (new mattress)at night. Well, I guess you have her about IKE. My son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren are ok but they got some wind damage to their house (not major)and lost power. The beach house at Galveston Beach is probably gone but they have not been able to find out yet as they won't let anyone in the area yet. It was really bad storm but not as bad as it could had been. Guess you also heard that Darnella had to have her gallbladder removed. When she told me all I could wonder is how could this happen so close together to both of you. She worked from home last week and actually did too much so she hasn't felt good this week. I had her work half days until Wednesday and then she has taken off today and tomorrow. Well, I guess I have typed enough. Really miss you and can't wait until you are back and I really can't wait to meet those two little boys. Keep the faith and just remember that it will not be as long as it has been, so you will be coming home soon. I will keep checking the blog and will try and write again.

Miss you.

Linda
